Our mission is to rehabilitate—and ultimately release—injured, ill and orphaned native wildlife species and foster awareness and appreciation of our local wildlife. But we can’t do it without your help.
Give to help wildlife
As a donation-funded center, every bit of assistance, no matter how small, helps us provide critical care for an animal, whether that be an orphaned opossum or a sick rabbit—or one of the hundreds of other native species in the area!
Your donation helps us keep the lights on and the incubators warm. Veterinary consultations, specialty baby formula, X-rays, medications—none are cheap, but all are necessary. Thank you for helping us care for our native wildlife in need!

HWC is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) volunteer-run organization that runs on donations. Each year, we help hundreds of injured, orphaned and ill wildlife. Without the support of generous donors, we aren’t able to help as many animals—and we want to help them all!

All donations go directly to helping injured, ill and orphaned wildlife. This may mean your donation is used to buy greens for rabbits, antibiotics or bleach for the (lots and lots of) laundry.

It depends! When we have opossums and woodchucks in care, we spend about $10-20 on produce every single day. Bunny formula is $15/lb.—and the baby bunnies go through around 20 lbs. of formula a month! Not to mention the costs of cleaning supplies, laundry, PPE and more.
Basically, every little bit helps. $250 gets us through about one week of expenses—if we don’t have any unexpected trips to the vet pop up! -
